Our pygmy goat meadow behind the climbing roses and big Rhododendron bush to the right of the roses. The Rhododendron has fucshia colored flowers in the spring - it's gorgeous.

Miniature Chair with Moss

Miniature Chair with Moss

I bought this 7 years ago. It's been outside in our Pacific Northwest rain all that time so naturally has moss on it - even more in the winter. The rocks are behind it, not sitting on it.

Once the boxwood are good sized they will cover the black border. Our property extends into the woods on the right. It's filled with ferns, wild Trillium and pines. I am determined to have a beautiful lawn!!! All things in due time.

The pile doesn't look much smaller but the back hillside is looking great. We can barely make it out of the driveway lol.

View toward the peony garden and back lawn. The tubes in the front right foreground are filled with organic compost. They will be placed where the hillside is steepest, then I will make slits in the tops and sides and fill then with spreading flowers or seeds. The flowers will cover the tubes and both the tubes and flowers will hold the bark in place.

There's still lots of grey landscape paper showing but Jim is making great headway for only having worked a day and a half on this project.

My lavender garden is in the left foreground. I'm working on a little brick wall to hold the bark in place above a thyme garden. Toward the middle of the photo are herbs, Oregon Grape and Salal. The Oregon Grape and Salal are native to the Pacific Northwest and are a great addition to the garden.

The bark was delivered today. Jim dug right in and started spreading it on the back hillside. It looks wonderful! So much better looking than the landscape paper lol
